Our Volunteer Program helps us extend and enrich AHSID's impact on the community through devoted volunteers who share the aspiration of helping people with HS and inflammatory diseases improve their overall quality of life. Involving highly engaged volunteers is crucial to fulfilling our mission.

    • Access to various training sessions and information kits.

    • Networking with the AHSID leadership team, AHSID ambassadors, & corporate partners among others.

    • Invitation to participate in an annual summit, bringing together leaders and members of the HS community to identify, explore and tackle key issues impacting patients.

    • An annual volunteer retreat that offers sessions for skill-building as well as personal and professional growth.

    • Share critical information, cover important news, and create awareness & advocacy campaigns for Hidradenitis Suppurativa and inflammatory diseases.

    • Ensure that voices and perspectives of thought-leading patients and their care partners are heard and sought after by key stakeholders to improve diagnosis, treatment, and care for those impacted by HS and inflammatory diseases.

    • Create a larger presence and exposure for AHSID, keeping the organization at the forefront of conversations around the most important issues facing the HS patient community.

    • Strengthening AHSID's relationships and impact with the patient community, policy makers, corporate partners, publications, and other stakeholders invested in HS and inflammatory diseases.

    • Build a strong base of donors and increase our fundraising.

    • Achieve measurable & sustainable results for all of our efforts.

We’re excited to launch an Ambassador Program of highly engaged patients with HS and inflammatory diseases, providing the community a voice and a platform to share their experiences and connect with others. Through a volunteer network of advocates and influencers, we are bringing together patients at various points in their journeys and willing to share their experiences, knowledge, concerns, and hopes with others. You are first-hand experts, & your involvement is crucial to our mission.

    • Share personal experiences & professional skills to contribute to the AHSID mission and create a more informed and energized local and national HS and inflammatory diseases patient community.

    • Build a network of HS & inflammatory disease patient advocates & influencers to share critical information, cover important news, & create awareness & advocacy campaigns ensuring that their voices are heard and sought after by key stakeholders to improve diagnosis, & treatment.

    • Create a larger presence for AHSID, strengthen AHSID’s relationships and impact with the patient community,and keeping the organization at the forefront of conversations around HS and inflammatory disease.

    • Gain critical advocacy skills to effectively educate and activate on policy issues and partner with key policymakers, pharmaceutical companies, publications, and other stakeholders invested in HS and inflammatory diseases to ensure the patient community’s needs & perspectives are well represented in developing new treatment options.

    • Access to a how to toolkit with programming & content for optimal social media & brand presence in the HS and inflammatory disease areas

    • Networking with AHSID leadership team, other ambassadors, pharma industry partners, & others.

    • Opportunities to share real-world patient experience and actionable insights with key pharmaceutical companies to ensure that the patient and care partner voice is heard relative to the medicines and services they are developing and providing to the community

    • An annual summit bringing together leaders and members of the HS community to identify, explore, &tackle key issues impacting patients.

    • An annual retreat with sessions for skill building & personal & professional growth
